At a press conference held on June 5 at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel, So Ji-sub appeared alongside director Choi Sung-eun and co-stars Gong Myung, Choo Young-woo, Ahn Kil-kang, Jo Han-chul, and Lee Jun-hyuk to promote the noir thriller ahead of its global premiere on June 6.
Marking his first action-centered role since A Company Man (2012), So Ji-sub said, “I guess it really has been a while since I did action. I wanted to do it again,” expressing his passion for returning to the genre.

Based on a webtoon, Mercy for None tells the gripping story of Nam Ki-joon, a man who once belonged to a violent underworld called the “Square.” After voluntarily cutting his Achilles tendon to escape the organization, Ki-joon disappears—only to return 11 years later following the mysterious death of his younger brother, Ki-seok, who had risen to become second-in-command. What follows is a ruthless journey of vengeance and dark secrets.
So Ji-sub leads a star-studded cast featuring Heo Jun-ho, Cha Seung-won, and many more, building high anticipation for the ensemble’s intense chemistry and layered performances.

With stylized action, deep emotional beats, and a classic noir tone, Mercy for None is poised to be one of Netflix Korea’s standout releases of the year. Fans won’t have to wait long—the full series drops June 6 worldwide.
